This morning at 0800, our trip by train to Wyk auf Foehr started.

I went from Obernburg via Aschaffenburg to Frankfurt by regional trains first which took two hours. At Frankfurt Central Station, I changed trains to my long distance express train which brought me at the end to Dagebuell harbour after a ride of an additional eight hours.

But what a trip…

First, I was not able to believe it… My car number did not appear at any of the wagons of that train… So I was a bit puzzled and asked one of the officials of the trains. And what did he say… Yes, indeed, we are running with our restaurant car and without business class coach. But exactly this was the one I had reserved my seat in!!

So what now??

He advised me to take a seat in second class as it is not full yet. I got the ticket signed off that I can claim back some money as by booking class and reserved seat was not available.

Well, long story, short result… It went OK at the end, even while the air conditioning in the coach broke down.

In Hamburg, Sven joined me coming from Bonn and the rest of the trip was agreeable.
